Bio

Portrait by the very sweet Ivy Truong.
Howdy. My name is Michael, and I’m a graphic designer / art director / creative type. I have a range of capabilities and experience in design and advertising, a keen eye for detail and a wide view of the big picture. I’m a native Texan who also inherently believes in big thinking and smart concepts. An eternal optimist, I always strive to create radical and relevant work, and am not afraid to lose a pitch or turn down a gig for the right reasons (shh—don’t tell accounting).
I grew up in a small town, attended art / design school in the desert, began my career in Dallas and finally found my way to San Francisco. Experiencing such an array of environments and people has resulted in a big appreciation of variety. I’m happy doing pro-bono work for non-profits, full-blown campaigns for Fortune 500 companies and everything in between. Past experience has included working at a large, integrated agency, small and medium design firms and freelancing. I’ve worked on accounts in consumer electronics, the arts, architecture and design, shipping, sports and fitness, natural resources, resorts, charitable organizations, education, healthcare and manufacturing. Variety, for me, truly is the Sriracha of life.
When I’m not busy doing all of the above, I can be found enjoying and exploring San Francisco, riding two-wheeled transports and traveling as much as I can. If it’s something I’ve never done, you can bet your ass I plan on doing it—within relatively legal parameters, of course.
Hope you enjoy looking around. If you’re a rad potential client, let’s talk. If you’re a rad potential employer, look no further. Either way, thanks for stopping by.
