Hitachi SimpleTough Campaign

We were asked by Hitachi to create a campaign for their SimpleTough drive, but with a fair amount of restrictions on just how tough we could portray the drive. So we created a cast of characters that were quasi-tough to help represent the product.

We then animated the characters in a large series of Flash banners, which included lots of bouncing and banging around to help continue the “tough” conversation as well as attract attention on sites. These banners performed exceptionally well.

The microsite served as a home for all the characters to help speak in more detail about the specs of the hard drive as only they could. Check it out at hitachitoughdrives.com. Each of the characters also received Facebook pages where they would interact with each others pages and friends with their individual voices.
