Kathryn & Taylor’s Wedding

Here’s a letterpressed identity and design system I recently finished for my sister’s wedding this June. She wanted a mix between classic and antique and, of course, on a tight budget. So I partnered with James Lang at Horwinski Printing in Oakland, who was a perfect fit for the job as letterpressing has been in his family for 3 generations. He’s definitely an old-school printer, so it worked well with the look we were going for.

I kept the design simple and clean and used a blind deboss as the second color which helped create texture without being overbearing. This was especially helpful on the program which contained tons of information. We used a Crane letterpress paper which held ink and impression just right. The system includes an invitation, RSVP card, program and thank you card.

The pieces were also featured on UnderConsideration’s For Print Only design blog.
